About
I am an assistant professor of English at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA, where I specialize in Restoration and eighteenth-century British literature and culture. I came to VCU in fall of 2009; before that, I earned my PhD at the University of Virginia and I was a postdoctoral fellow at Emory University's Bill and Carol Fox Center for Humanistic Inquiry in Atlanta, GA.
Current projects, in addition to monograph, include: co-editing with Manushag N. Powell a special issue of *The Eighteenth-Century: Theory and Interpretation,* on the topic of “Sensational Subjects"; co-editing with John Richetti an edition of *The Farther Adventures of Robinson Crusoe* for Broadview Press; and writing an essay on "The Poet as Man of Feeling" (focus on Alexander Swift and Mary Wortley Montagu) for *The Oxford Handbook of British Poetry, 1660-1800,* edited by Jack Lynch.
